How can we help?

Does 10Rx™ save me time and money?

We save you time and money by making it possible to get excellent care without having to see an in-person provider. This means you do not need to spend ages on the phone to book an appointment, travel to and from the doctor's office, or sit in crowded waiting rooms. We have our own mail-order pharmacy, so if you value the convenience of medicine delivery, we've got you covered. For most services, our consultation fee is only $30. Our services are generally less than the cost of most insurance co-pays, even before you consider the time and stress, we save you.

Is 10Rx™ right for everyone?

No. The online nature of our service means that our medical professionals must be more cautious than a traditional in-patient visit. For this reason, we cannot help everyone who wants to use our service. Our team of professionals adheres to strict procedures to ensure we only write you a prescription when it is safe and appropriate. If our services do not serve your best interests based on your health history or symptoms, we'll advise you to see a doctor in person. We'll then refund your medication fee.

Can I get my prescription sent to a local pharmacy?

Yes! If you don't want to take advantage of our convenient delivery services, you can get your prescription sent locally. If you're pressed for time and need your medication quickly, we offer EXPRESS SHIPPING. The benefit of express shipping is that your product can arrive as early as the next business day after we write your prescription. After completing our health questionnaire, if you'd rather have your prescription sent locally, add your pharmacy's information during the checkout process. Your prescription will be sent to that pharmacy directly.

Why do I need to take a picture of myself on the 10Rx™ app/website?

We ask you to take a picture of yourself and your photo ID to fulfill the requirements of state regulations. Your photo ID also allows us to verify your identity. For any uncertainty on your end, we assure you your personal information will be securely stored and digitally protected.

Is this a safe way to get care?

Like all telehealth platforms, the care we deliver is safe if you answer our questions thoroughly and truthfully. Reading and understanding the information we send you about your treatment plan is essential, along with the critical information we provide throughout our app and website.

In which states of the country does 10Rx™ offer its services?

Our telemedicine services are currently offered in the State of Florida. Shortly we will be offering services in the rest of the United States.

What is a Flexible Spending Account (FSA)?

A Flexible Spending Account, also known as a flexible spending arrangement. It's a pre-tax savings account for medical and health expenses. It is money you request to be deducted at the beginning of every Plan Year from your paycheck and deposited into your FSA for the next 12 months to cover medical costs. That money you decide to put in an FSA is taken from your pay before your social security, state, or federal taxes are deducted.

What is a Health Savings Account (HSA)?

A type of savings account that lets you set aside money on a pre-tax basis to pay for qualified medical expenses. By using untaxed dollars in a Health Savings Account (HSA) to pay for deductibles, co-payments, coinsurance, and other fees, you may be able to lower your overall health care costs. HSA funds generally may not be used to pay premiums. While you can use the funds in an HSA at any time to pay for qualified medical expenses, you may contribute to an HSA only if you have a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) — mostly a health plan (including a Marketplace plan) that only covers preventive services before the deductible. For the plan year 2022, the minimum deductible for an HDHP is $1,400 for an individual and $2,800 for a family. When you view plans in the Marketplace, you can see if they're 'HSA-eligible.' For 2022, if you have an HDHP, you can contribute up to $3,650 for self-only coverage and up to $7,300 for family coverage into an HSA. HSA funds roll over year to year if you don't spend them. An HSA may earn interest or other earnings which are not taxable. Some health insurance companies offer HSAs for their HDHPs. Check with your company. You can also open an HSA through some banks and other financial institutions.

Sexual Health

Why do I need to know my blood pressure?

You need to tell us your blood pressure to answer our health questions. We need to know your blood pressure because it's not appropriate for us to give you a prescription if your blood pressure is below a certain level or above a certain level. The blood pressure readings you give us must be accurate and recent because your blood pressure measurements are an important factor in our decision on whether it's appropriate and safe to give you a prescription. The good news is that pharmacies in your area will have machines that can accurately measure your blood pressure for free. Most Walmart, Sam’s Club, Rite Aid, and Safeway stores have them. Use these links to find your nearest high station or Pursuant Health machines.

Are the ED medicines you prescribe effective?

Yes. It's safe to use our ED service so long as you answer our health questions fully and accurately, and you read the information we provide about the risks and benefits of treatment, as well as the details of how to take any medicines. These medicines should only be used by men who are healthy enough for sexual activity. It's not safe for everyone to take these medicines. We'll base our judgment on whether it's appropriate and safe to give you a prescription on medical guidelines and all the information you provide. All ED medicines come with the potential for serious side effects. They're not recreational drugs. The medicines we prescribe are not aphrodisiacs, and they can't give you an erection.

What medicines do you prescribe?

We can prescribe 2 medications to treat erectile dysfunction: generic sildenafil ('generic Viagra'), and generic tadalafil ('generic Cialis'). All medications require a doctor's prescription. Sildenafil is the active ingredient in Viagra. Generic sildenafil 20 mg pills are the most cost-effective way to obtain erectile dysfunction medications. Many of our patients prefer generic Cialis (tadalafil) over sildenafil because the benefits last longer and allow you to be more spontaneous. The number of tablets in each case will depend on the medication and the dosage you have been prescribed.

General Health

What can I find under General Care?

Your general health is important, so we offer you a range of products proven to combat and prevent various general health symptoms. Our specialists will be with you throughout the process to give you the best treatment for your needs. Currently, you'll be able to find Hair loss products, but we are working hard to provide more to meet your needs.

What Hair loss products can I find with 10Rx™?

For the moment, you'll be able to find Finasteride. We are in the process of offering more options for hair loss medications. Finasteride is an FDA-approved medication that blocks the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), the antigen responsible for male pattern hair loss in genetically predisposed men.

Can I use this service before I experience hair loss?

No. We can only prescribe Finasteride if you have visible signs of hair loss, including thinning or a receding hairline, and you've experienced hair loss for at least 6 months. However, your hair loss doesn't need to be drastic before you use our service.

Is Finasteride safe?

Finasteride is generally safe, but it can also cause serious side effects. These side effects include but are not limited to an allergic reaction, breast cancer, sexual dysfunction, and high-grade prostate cancer. If you are prescribed Finasteride, you must read all the information we provide regarding the product before you start taking medicine. This helps you make an informed decision about whether you want to accept our treatment plan.

How long does it take for hair loss treatment to work?

Finasteride and minoxidil typically take three to four months of daily use to start seeing visible changes. It can take up to a year to see the maximum results. As long as you don't experience side effects, continuing the medication for one year is best before deciding whether it is a good fit for you. Like all medications, Finasteride and minoxidil will work differently for different people. To sustain benefits, you must continue using hair loss medication, if you stop, your hair loss may return.

Are there side effects of hair loss medication?

Like most drugs, no drug is 100% safe. In clinical trials, some men experienced sexual dysfunction due to Finasteride. This included decreased sexual desire (libido), a decrease in semen volume, or erectile dysfunction (ED). These side effects were noted in 3.8% of men taking Finasteride and 2.1% taking a placebo. In addition, Finasteride can lower serum prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels and may increase the risk of high-grade prostate cancers. If you are being screened for prostate cancer, you should inform your healthcare provider that you are taking Finasteride. As Finasteride enters the system, it may cause the shedding of fine hairs before it stops or reverses hair loss. Do not be concerned—this part is expected. The most common side effects associated with minoxidil are local skin irritation. Systemic side effects are rare as only a small percentage of the medication gets absorbed.

What is "male pattern baldness" and is it common?

Male pattern baldness, also known as androgenic alopecia, is men's most common type of hair loss. According to the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM), more than 50 percent of all men over 50 will be affected by male pattern baldness. Male pattern baldness can begin in your teenage years. Still, it more commonly occurs in adult men, with the likelihood increasing with age. Genetics plays a significant role. Men with close relatives with male baldness are at a higher risk. This is particularly true when their relatives are on the maternal side of the family.

What causes male pattern baldness?

One cause of male pattern baldness is genetics or having a family history of baldness. Research has found that male pattern baldness is associated with male sex hormones called androgens. The androgens have many functions, including regulating hair growth. Each hair on your head has a growth cycle. With male pattern baldness, this growth cycle begins to weaken, and the hair follicle shrinks, producing shorter and more delicate strands of hair. Eventually, the growth cycle for each hair ends, and no new hair grows in its place. Inherited male pattern baldness usually has no side effects. However, sometimes baldness has more serious causes, such as certain cancers, medications, thyroid conditions, and anabolic steroids. See your doctor if hair loss occurs after taking new medications or when it's accompanied by other health complaints. Doctors use the pattern of hair loss to diagnose male pattern baldness. They may perform a medical history and exam to rule out certain health conditions as the cause, such as fungal conditions of the scalp or nutritional disorders. Health conditions may cause baldness when accompanied by a rash, redness, pain, scalp peeling, hair breakage, patchy hair loss, or an unusual pattern of hair loss. A skin biopsy and blood tests also may be necessary to diagnose disorders responsible for hair loss.

Skin Care

What causes acne?

Acne usually starts during puberty with the production of androgen hormones in both males and females, causing the following changes in the skin: - Skin glands, pores, or follicles of the face, upper chest, and back are known as sebaceous glands and increase the production of sebum – an oily substance. - The skin of these areas also has more production of skin layers known as hyperkeratinization. This thickening of skin can cause clogged pores, known as comedones. Open comedones which are not clogged are called "blackheads." Closed comedones are called "whiteheads." - The bacteria Propionibacterium acnes is present on the skin. - The clogged gland (follicle) and the bacteria can cause skin inflammation, causing red spots or pimples. The combination of these factors causes zits, pimples, whiteheads, blackheads, and, in severe cases, cysts that lead to reddish, painful bumps commonly referred to as acne.

What's the treatment for acne?

We can prescribe medicines that effectively treat acne, minimize flare-ups and get long-term control. We have different treatments that focus on keeping the pores open, decreasing the amount of skin layer production or keratinization, and also decreasing the number of bacteria on the skin. Your treatment may include any one or more of the following medicines: over-the-counter topical cream, gel, or ointment; prescription topical cream, gel, or ointment; prescription topical antibiotics; and prescription oral antibiotics. There are additional treatments for acne that we don't offer, including birth control and isotretinoin (Accutane).

What are the side effects of Tretinoin?

The most common side effects of Tretinoin are redness and peeling. This medication may make your skin more sensitive to the sun. Women who are pregnant or who may become pregnant should not handle this medication. A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of a severe allergic reaction may include: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, and trouble breathing. Topical Tretinoin is one of the essential medications to treat acne and fine lines. Unfortunately, it can cause skin irritation in the form of redness, dryness, and peeling, especially if it's your first time using this medication or if you haven't used it in a while. Your skin will acclimate to treatment, but it can take up to 10 weeks. Starting out gradually using it every other night for the first 2-4 weeks will prevent most problems. If your symptoms are mild, you can continue using the medication with liberal use of moisturizers, and the irritation will resolve on its own.

What are the benefits of using Tretinoin?

At 10Rx™, we have Tretinoin at 0.1% and 0.05%. This is the best topical medication for treating mild acne scars, which are permanent depressions (or pits) in the skin. Tretinoin builds up collagen after 6 months and continues improvement with further use. It can help improve the appearance of scars but is unlikely to get rid of deep acne scarring. Procedures such as lasers or acid peels are the most effective for this type of scarring, which would require an in-person dermatologist consultation. Daily sun protection is critical. You should use sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher every morning and wide-brimmed hats outdoors. Regular Tretinoin can help hyperpigmentation fade more quickly by increasing cell turnover.

What are the risks of taking treatment?

The risks of taking any medicine include side effects or allergic reactions to the medication. This is true with any prescription or over-the-counter drug. In addition, the treatment we give you at first may not work as well as expected. This may mean you'll need to change or add medication or see a doctor or nurse practitioner. You may see no improvement because your symptoms are due to something else besides acne. In this case, you'll have unnecessarily used medicine(s) for acne and delayed your care. If you're not seeing improvement in your acne after 1 to 2 months, send us a message for additional advice, return to the service for another visit, or see a doctor or nurse practitioner in person.

Will my acne ever go away?

Yes. Acne typically goes away by age 25 to 30, but some people may still experience flare-ups in their 30s and 40s. Among people 40 and older, about 1 in 10 men and 1 in 4 women report having acne. Overall, acne occurs more often in women than men, but it's typically more severe in men.

What makes acne worsen?

There's no medical evidence that acne is caused by your eating or personal hygiene, although stress can sometimes worsen acne.

Weight Loss

What is Semaglutide?

Semaglutide acts like human glucagon-like peptide (GLP1) by increasing insulin secretion, thereby increasing sugaring metabolism. It initiates weight loss in adjunct to reduced diet and increased physical activity. It is indicated for chronic weight management in adult patients with a BMI of 30 or greater or a BMI of 27 or greater with at least one weight-related medical condition.

Who should take Semaglutide?

This medication is injected once per week on the same day, at any time, with or without meals. Inject subcutaneously at the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. Initiate 0.25mg/12.5iu once weekly for 4 weeks. In 4-week intervals, increase the dose to a dose of 2.4mg/96iu once per week. Follow the instructions on your prescription vial to reflect the titration you are on.

Semaglutide is not for everyone. Do not take Semaglutide if you:

- had a thyroid cancer called Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma (MTC) - if you have an endocrine system condition called Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia type 2 (MEN2). - Patients experiencing severe allergic reactions such as anaphylaxis or angioedema must stop taking the medication immediately. - Patients taking other oral medications must be aware that because Semaglutide delays gastric emptying, it may impact the absorption of concomitantly. - Heart rate increase - Acute pancreatitis - Acute Gallbladder disease - Hypoglycemia - Hypersensitivity - Suicidal Behavior - diabetic retinopathy (type of damage to the eye from diabetes) - decreased kidney function - kidney disease with likely reduction in kidney function

What are the most common Semaglutide side effects?

Patients may experience nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, abdominal pain, headaches, and fatigue. Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you experience any of the following: - Heart rate increase, - Acute pancreatitis - Acute Gallbladder disease - Hypoglycemia, - Hypersensitivity - Suicidal Behavior - diabetic retinopathy (type of damage to the eye from diabetes) - decreased kidney function - kidney disease with likely reduction in kidney function
