Semaglutide comes in 2mg/mL vial and it inhibits human glucagon like peptide GLP1 by increasing insulin secretion, thereby increasing sugar metabolism. It induces weight loss in adjunct to diet and increased physical activity. It is indicated for chronic weight management in adult patients with a BMI of 30 or greater or a BMI of 27 or greater with the presence of at least one weight related medical condition.
How to use it
This medication is to be injected once per week on the same day each week, at any time of day, with or without meals. Inject subcutaneously in the abdomen, thigh, or upperarm. Follow the instructions on your prescription vial to reflect the titration you are on.
